[00:00:00] Hello and welcome to Keep Calm and Parent Strong, where we want to love more, or less and laugh often. I'm ChristaCarol Jones, and like many of you, my parenting journey has been anything but straightforward. I've survived raising a child with cancer while simultaneously welcoming a new

[00:00:20] born into the world. I've supported my one's LGBTQ-T team through their spiritual journey in personal transformations, including becoming straight, converting to Islam, getting married, and embracing parenthood all within this span of a year. I've also faced the complexities of parenting a child with mental health diagnoses, learning

[00:00:39] day by day how to offer support, understanding, and unconditional love through each challenge. My life has been a testament to the fact that parenting is unpredictable, deeply challenging, but at the same time, profoundly rewarding. Beyond my personal experiences, I've spent over a decade in education, working with

[00:00:57] parents to navigate the early years, from toddler tantrums to selling in school and everything in between. These roles haven't only equipped me with thin sites into child development and parenting strategies but they've given me or ingrained in me the importance of love, acceptance, and understanding in raising kids.

[00:01:15] This podcast is a reflection of that journey, and the lessons learned along the way. It's about sharing unfiltered honest conversations on the full spectrum of parenting, the good, the bad, and the incredibly unexpected, which face it, we all have been there.

[00:01:29] Through Keep Calm and Parents' Drung I invite you to join a community where we don't shy away from the tough topics, we'll dive deep into real stories, including my own, and we'll offer you practical advice, hope, and a bit of humor to lighten the load.
